Testimonial about Maxine Hirt: "Hi Judi, You and I go back a long way and, as you know, I have had a good deal of experience with brokers.I just wanted to take a moment to let you know what a true gem you have in Maxine Hirt. I found her to be warm, level headed, informative and the voice of reason... a real pro. I would work with her again in a heartbeat... All the Best, Lisa"

Maxine Hirt |
A native of Pennsylvania Dutch country and graduate of Penn State's School of Journalism and Villanova University School of Law, Maxine Hirt has called herself a New Yorker for over 30 years. She lived in and practiced law in New York City, in both the public and private sectors, until her 1990 marriage, when she moved to Bridgehampton to join her husband, Southampton architect Richard (Rick) Hirt.
After a stint as a reporter for The East Hampton Star, where she covered Southampton Town, East Hampton Town, and East Hampton Village governments, Maxine joined the Southampton Town Attorney's Office as a Deputy Town Attorney, where she remained until the birth of her daughter, Renee, in 1995. Her duties included representing the Conservation Board, Assessor, and Trustees, giving her a well-rounded experience in the issues facing not only the town, but also its residents. Maxine put that knowledge to good use while working for two local attorneys and their property-owning clients, from 1997 until joining Town & Country as an associate broker in the Summer of 2008.
Today, Maxine splits her time between professional pursuits and her family. She is lucky to share her daughter's love of horses, and spends many happy hours with Renee "at the barn." In what spare time she has, Maxine likes to garden, read, catch up with friends, and go to the movies.
Maxine believes that her former professional ties to and experience with the local legal and governmental communities, her appreciation and knowledge of local architecture as gleaned from her husband, and her love of Bridgehampton and the surrounding South Fork communities, make her ideally suited to a career in local real estate.
